Sadie - The Grief Coach

Grief support for the mind, body and nervous system

Meet Me

I’m Sadie, a grief coach, grief educator and former detective offering in person and online grief support for people navigating loss, both in the UK and internationally.

Grief has shaped both my life and my work. Long before widowhood, I had already known deep loss through bereavement, divorce, infertility and the many ways life can break us open and ask us to begin again.

Then came caregiving, anticipatory grief and eventually the death of my husband.

Alongside my own lived experience, I spent nearly 30 years working in policing, supporting victims, survivors and families through trauma, sudden death, homicide, abuse and profound loss.

This was not just my work. It shaped the way I listen, hold space and sit alongside people in some of the hardest moments of their lives. It taught me how to witness grief without trying to fix it, how trauma lives in the body and how loss can change a person completely.

I do not use the phrase trauma informed lightly. My understanding was built through decades of specialist training and years of working closely with people navigating trauma and grief.

Grief coaching is not therapy, and it is not about fixing you or helping you move on. It is about creating a space where your grief can be witnessed, honoured and understood. A space where love, pain, anger, fear and hope can all exist together.

My work is holistic because grief is not just something we think about. It lives in the body, the mind and the soul.

Through grief coaching, EFT, Reiki, Sound Healing and Grief Movement, I help people feel seen, supported and less alone as they learn to carry life after loss with more understanding, more love and less pain.

EFT/Tapping

EFT is a powerful tool for supporting grief. Also known as tapping, it is a gentle, non invasive technique that helps you work with difficult emotions and overwhelm. By tapping on acupressure points on the body, EFT can help calm the nervous system and release what feels stuck, both physically and emotionally.

THE GRIEF RETREAT

A place to simply be.

Are you craving a space where you can take the mask off and not have to pretend you’re okay?
A place where grief is understood and you can show up exactly as you are.

Grief can feel so lonely. The world keeps moving and yet your world has changed beyond recognition. It can feel like no one truly understands unless they have lived it too.

The Grief Retreat is a place to pause. A gentle pause from the noise, the pressure and the expectations. A place to breathe, rest and connect with others who simply get it.

Through gentle practices and nervous system support, this is a space to slow down, tend to yourself and take away tools to support you in your grief.

There is no fixing here. No pretending. Just space to be exactly where you are in your grief.

Broken, brave, grieving, human.

Spaces are kept small so the retreats feel intimate, personal and supportive, where you can feel seen, heard and held.
